Prof Rajender Reddy
Post MBBS | Left India in 1974 and worked in Aberdeen and Northampton UK till July 1977. Moved to New York in July 1977 where I joined Misericordia Hospital as a Resident in Internal Medicine.
After completing Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology,I became an Instructor in Medicine in Tennessee. Following this I worked as an Assistant and Associate Professor between 1983 to 1995. In 1995, I was appointed Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami and then moved to University of Pennsylvania as Professor of Medicine and Surgery in October 2001. |
Present | Ruimy Family President’s Distinguished Professor of Medicine ( about 1 % of Professors at the University of Pennsylvania have an Endowed Chair), Professor of Medicine in Surgery in the Division of Gastroenterology/Hepatology at the University of Pennsylvania ( top 5 Medical Schools in the US) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. |

Papers | Authored or co-authored over 400 peer-reviewed papers on a spectrum of hepatobiliary topics that include liver transplantation, chronic C viral hepatitis, HIV and the liver, and hepatocellular carcinoma.
