It is with profound grief and sorrow that I inform you that one of our senior most Physicians, a great teacher and a thorough gentleman, Dr. V N Waghray left for the heavenly abode  early morning today.
He was former Head of Department of Medicine & Superintendent OGH from 1981-1983

With profound grief , it is  informed  that our teacher Dr V.N.Waghray  passed away on 2nd March, following a brief illness.He was operated for a fracture neck of femur ,developed respiratory complications and succumbed to it.
A great teacher, excellent clinician,and a wonderful human being.
I had the privilege of working with 3 great physician of our era, Dr SRRao, Dr Narsing Rao and Dr VNWAGHRAY.
It was Dr waghray who motivated me to take up DM Nephrology at Chandigarh
Still remember how Chary used to imitate him and he was given the nickname” Dilip Kumar” .
We still remember his bedside manners,clinical diagnosis and case discussion.
Prey God to give him”Moksha”.
